The Wedding
The wedding was a project which looked at relationships of couples, and the rituals and beliefs surrounding weddings, (for example that broken plates bring you bad luck). It was organized chronologically, starting with the meeting, then moving to the wedding and then life together.
This project proposed methods to spice up the life of couples, which over the years can become boring.
The context of this work was very influenced by the news in France at that time, with the president's election and a huge debate on homosexual weddings. The way the subject was treated by politics was intolerable to me and didn't talk at all about the notion of the couple.
Therefore, this project explored the notion of normality, wedding ceremonies and lifespan in a couple.
